Here’s a little trick you may want to try if you sell expensive, fragile, shiny,
or any combination thereof, art. I remember reading about it being used in
a museum when I was a teenager. I tried it and it works.
As they reach for the item they read the sign, stop and pull their hand
back like a burnt paw. Its funny to watch. They turn to you and ask if it’s
treated with a chemical. I say “No, but its still a good idea”. Then I smile
and ask if I may help them.
This is a pdf you are welcome to download but you can make your own
with a word processor and clip art. Maybe there is a notice template
already set up – just enter the text and add colors. Go to the large hobby
store and buy a matted picture frame and put this on its own little easel.
